Numata Sensei has continued to develop his style of online teaching, taking it to the next level. Using aids such as tape for pointing out angles for footwork, jo to represent a training partner, and other innovative methods, his instruction is clear and his joy of training is evident.

Because of the pandemic, Sensei and participants are all wearing masks.

Due to the health risks of the time, we were not able to hold our annual AKI USA Summer Camp in Los Angeles, as is our custom. With the help of modern technology, we moved the seminar online. The result was that we had the rare opportunity to train with not only our USA Director, Lia Suzuki Sensei, but also, Daiyu Sensei, Numata Sensei, and even Takeda Shihan!
